Our seasonally changing menu offers updated American fare prepared with pride and care and a concentration on fresh ingredients & bold flavors. Our Executive Chef Robert Watt creates interesting and bold flavored specials for you to enjoy. We offer a well selected and approachable wine list of exciting, food friendly wines. We pride ourselves on our cocktail menu which changes often, allowing the creativity of our bartenders to shine. With our great selection of craft beers that rotate, to our creative fresh cocktails and our classic cocktails there’s a little something for everyone. The restaurant's design, inspired by its early 20th century home, merges new and old elements and utilizes repurposed materials such as old barn wood, antique marble & even wooden bleachers from La Salle High School.
Mike and Joy are the successful owners of Bonnet Lane Family Restaurant in Abington, since 1998. Mike & Joy always new there would be another restaurant in their future, but they were going to wait until their children were both in college. The original owner of Roberts Block came to them only one short year after opening in 2016 wanting to get out of the restaurant business. Now, this was two years ahead of schedule for Mike & Joy, but they saw great potential in this location and wanted to be part of the Glenside community. Like their first restaurant an opportunity knocked earlier than they planned, so they jumped in an created a space for you to enjoy.
In October of 2016, the owners, being friends of Mike and Joy called them to offer them the business before anyone else. Mike and Joy jumped at the opportunity because the restaurant was still in its infancy. It had not hit its potential and Mike and Joy felt they could take it where it needed to go. They took over in December of 2016, in that short time of ownership, they have changed the menu to make it more comfortable, adding many small plates, sandwiches and burgers to a more inviting entree menu. The restaurant has a private dining room for private parties an inviting bar and a great atmosphere. Mike and Joy want to make this location the place to be in Glenside!
